Benefits of Ginger Garlic Paste
Ginger garlic masala is a crushed mixture of raw ginger and garlic cloves. Optionally, salt is added to the ginger garlic paste while crushing.
This compounded mixture is often used in Indian curries and vegetable dishes in many parts of India. It is also used in Thai and Italian cuisine.
Ideally,
the paste or masala should be freshly prepared using a grindstone. However, due
to scarcity of time and unavailability of a grindstone, people may use a
mixer-grinder appliance to prepare the paste. These days, the paste is also
available as a readymade preserve in many departmental stores or groceries.
Helps To Fight Cancer
Both ginger and garlic having rich in antioxidant
properties, effective at fighting and preventing range of cancer related issues
as well. A study conducted at the Departments of Epidemiology and Nutrition at
the University of North Carolina concluded that garlic intake was effective in
battling colorectal and stomach cancers. Ginger has also been linked to
effective treatment of multiple cancer varieties. According to USA, a study
conducted by the University of Michigan shows that ginger may reduce the
inflammation caused by colon cancer. Professors at Harvard opine that these
findings may hint to ginger’s effectiveness as a preventive measure for those
at risk of colon cancer.

Garlic
and Ginger paste are used for many conditions related to the heart and blood
system. These conditions include high blood pressure, low blood pressure, high
cholesterol, inherited high cholesterol, coronary heart disease, heart attack,
reduced blood flow due to narrowed arteries.
Treating Colds and Flu.
Anti-inflammatory,
antifungal and antimicrobial properties of both are treating cold & flu
speedy recovery. Garlic ginger paste is known to boost immune system, thereby
helping combat diseases.
Reduce Pain and Inflammation
Garlic ginger paste is a good painkiller that does not
cause any adverse effect. The paste can be used to relieve tooth pain,
migraines, back pain, muscle pain, and arthritis. Studies have also proved that
ginger is effective in relieving pain caused due to premenstrual syndrome.
Used as an Aphrodisiac
Ginger and garlic are both believed to be aphrodisiacs
that boost sex drive and increase stamina. Although there has been no research
that looks at the herbs and their association with libido, it is believed by
several people to increase their sex drive. The allicin in garlic is also known
to treat impotency by improving blood circulation.
